Her Excellency Mrs. Enkeleda Mërkuri, Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Romania, and the Albanian Defence Attaché, Colonel Leonard Çoku, met today with COL Ioan-Tiberiu Cojocaru, Commander of the NATO Force Integration Unit (NFIU) Romania.
This significant visit highlights the deepening collaboration and mutual commitment between Albania and Romania within the framework of NATO’s strategic initiatives. The discussions were focused on enhancing military cooperation, strengthening regional security, and reinforcing the partnership through joint efforts at NFIU Romania.
During the visit, COL Ioan-Tiberiu Cojocaru provided an in-depth presentation of NFIU Romania’s mission and capabilities. He highlighted the unit’s role in facilitating rapid deployment of NATO forces, enhancing interoperability among allied forces, and ensuring seamless coordination during multinational exercises and operations.
