The NFIU Romania team met with soldiers from the German Luftwaffe Detachment on December 7. They carry out NATO consolidated air police missions at the 57 Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base, in close collaboration with the Romanian Air Force.
Together, they protect NATO airspace against any possible aggression and are a clear sign of cohesion, shared responsibility and solidarity between the two NATO member countries.
The discussions focused on the lessons learned from the deployment of the structure from Germany to Romania and how we can improve the Reception, Stationing and Continued Movement (RSOM) process of NATO troops in Romania.
