NATO Force Integration Unit (NFIU) celebrates today 7 years since its activation as a NATO Force Structure Headquarters in Romania.
“During our 7-year journey so far, there have been numerous challenges and opportunities which made us what we are today, a mature unit, a small HQs with a great responsibility, which enables a vital link between NATO and National HQs and forces facilitating rapid deployment of NATO troops and a coherent response of the Alliance against any threat.
[…] Today, as we celebrate our 7th anniversary my most sincere gratitude goes to the ones that set the foundation and paved the grounds for what we became today. I convey our special thanks for the continuous support we received from our nations and our Higher Headquarters as well as to all of you, for your exemplary professionalism, diligence and dedication which stand to guarantee the conditions for success in our continuous development as a NATO Force Structure Headquarters in Romania”, said NFIU Romania commander, colonel Cristian Ivănescu.
