Making history in #Bucharest, #NFIURomania hosted the first-ever NFIUs Commanders’ Meeting between January 28 and 29, 2026, uniting leaders from Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Romania and Slovakia to pioneer a new era of NFIUs strategic cooperation and command coordination!
This landmark event brought together NFIU commanders for crucial discussions on strengthening cooperation and improving coordination within the new NATO Command and Control structure. We tackled shared challenges regarding deployed forces, exchanged valuable lessons learned and good practices across our area of operations, and strategized on adapting to the evolving security environment.
The feedback from our fellow partners was positive, and we are thrilled to have organized this foundational meeting, potentially the first of an annual tradition!
