On Monday, February 6th, we were honored to receive MGEN Dragoș-Dumitru IACOB, Commander of Headquarters Multinational Corps South-East (HQ MNC-SE), to our unit.
MGEN IACOB was welcomed by COL Ioan-Tiberiu COJOCARU, Commander of NFIU ROU. The program of the visit was focused on the cooperation and coordination between HQ MNC-SE and NFIU ROU.
COL COJOCARU briefed our distinguished guest about the organization of the unit, mission, tasks and current status. He then answered the general’s questions on the specific issues and challenges for the region.
At the end of the visit, MGEN IACOB signed the Book of Honor, in which he expressed his gratitude for the welcoming and detailed information that he received.
“Thank you for a very informative and open discussion about this wonderful team, your role and responsibilities, as well as your way of doing things professionally, ensures that Allied processes and forces are in very capable hands here in Romania.” highlighted the general.
The Headquarters of the Multinational Corps South-East (HQ MNC-SE) was established in 2020, with temporary deployment in the Bucharest garrison, and in 2021 it was relocated in Sibiu. Starting with January 21st, 2023, all NATO Land Forces in the South-East of Europe are subordinated to the HQ MNC-SE.
