Welcoming the Turkish VJTF contingent in Romania for exercise Steadfast Defender 21

On May 20, we received the main echelon of the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) that participated in the NATO multinational exercise Steadfast Defender 21. At the end of the exercise, at Giurgiu border, we bid them farewell, appreciative of the good collaboration between Romania and Turkey.

NFIU Romania supported the reception, staging and movement of Allied troops on Romanian territory. The exercise aimed to improve and maintain the cohesion of the Alliance and the interoperability between the armed forces of the members of the Alliance. Not an easy mission, but which, through good collaboration between Romania and its allies, it’s a successful one.

Together we are stronger!
